D-ring fittings are considerably stronger than screw eyes rings, which are typically used for very light paintings. The plate is secured with screw fitting in the back of the frame. Use D-ring picture hangers in pairs, with a single screw hole for smaller artwork or multiple screw fittings on an extended plate for heavier gallery items. Larger frames require heavier-duty D-rings with multiple screw holes to more evenly distribute weight.

Our hanger rings are available in three sizes: 25mm (15kg), 40mm (20 kg), and 50mm (30 kg), depending on how much support you require per lineal metre. For those who don’t currently have an artwork storage system, D-rings allow you to lay paintings flat, which can then be stacked neatly by taping over beforehand.
