This can be done in different ways.

  • Usually, two-dimensional artworks only need picture lights fixed to their frames.
  • Larger works are usually illuminated in ways to enhance the colors and textures for viewers to appreciate. According to experts, the glaring effect is minimized if the artificial light falls with an angle of 30-degrees on a painting.
  • Indoor accents on artworks can be created by adding slight shadows on them. Due to these enhancements and planned indoor accents one literally see favorite and well-known pieces “in another light”.
  • Apart from these intersections between, the type and size of lights affixed to the walls also contribute to the atmosphere in a space and should be chosen carefully to enhance the artwork in the room.

Art gallery and exhibition lighting

When art illumination is planned for spaces where there will be exposure to artificial light for long periods, it is recommended to use LED. They are safe and will not damage any object as they don’t generate much heat, and they produce very little, if any, UV light. Most Gallery lighting systems use LED lights.
